Your superior correspondents were very glad to see last week’s Bob Kerr column about Nondas Voll, longtime head ramrod of the Fund for Community Progress. If you don’t know who Nondas is, you should, because she will enrich your life.

While Nondas is leaving her post, there is no way, as Bob points out, that her work for peace and social justice will end. She is considered a hero at Casa Diablo, among a pantheon that includes Henry Shelton, Irwin Becker, Jim Tull, Deb Brayton, Richard Walton, Marti Rosenberg, and so many more.

Their work has also never stopped. And let us remember the great Joe Vanni, one of the Fund’s founders and someone who all these above-mentioned people would cite as a hero and mentor.

Thank you, Nondas, for all you’ve done to make the Biggest Little a better place, especially for those who need a helping, healing hand.
